Water supply in Clare given top marks

Clare’s drinking water supply has been given top marks

An EPA report into drinking water in Ireland in 2009 and 2010, found that Clare County Council’s drinking water supply was given the all clear regarding microbiological compliance, while chemical compliance levels were 99% in both years.

The report also found one boil notice and one water restriction were in effect at the end of 2010, affecting less than 100 people.

Councillor John Crowe – Chairperson of the the Environment and Water Services Committee, feels the report is a testament to the efforts of the local authority.
