Motorists across Clare are being warned that fallen debris coupled with strong winds and rain has resulted in dangerous driving conditions in many areas this morning.
It follows hours of storm force gales – some of which reached up to 160 kilometres per hour –
Killaloe Garda say the road between Killaloe and Clonlara is extremely hazardous due to fallen debris and is urging caution while the council have just cleared a fallen tree on the Ennis side of Ennistymon at Glan.
They are now dealing with a fallen wall on Coast Road between Fanore and Ballyvaughan – on the Fanore side of Ballinalacken Castle – Ennistymon Gardai are urging motorists to approach the area with caution
A fallen tree overnight in the Sixmilebridge area has been cleared while drivers are also urged to watch out of fallen refuse bins and other large debris that may have been swept onto roads ..
