It could take a number of months before weight restrictions are lifted on a bridge in Clarecastle.
Heavy vehicles, including busses, have been temporarily restricted from using Latoon Creek Bridge since last month as part of safety measures.

This has led to concerns locally that busses would be diverted permanently or that services on the route might end altogether.
Clare County Council has confirmed that, that won't be the case but Senior Engineer Tom Tiernan says it's not known as this stage how long the restrictions will be in place as repair works will be complex.
