West Clare Councillors have welcomed news that day services are set to continue at a local nursing home.
The HSE have announced that day care and catering services at the Orchard Lodge Nursing Home in Kilrush will remain in place.
It follows a decision by the HSE, last year, to relocate all in-patients at the West Clare home to other facilities in the county as part of the reconfiguration of mental health services – staff at the home were also redeployed to other centres.

The last remaining residents of the home were re-located at the weekend.
