Clare Councillors have voted overwhelmingly in favour of extinguishing a controversial right of way at Doonbeg Golf Club
The decision was taken at last evening’s meeting of the local authority on a vote of 22 for and three against.

There were rowdy scenes at Aras Contae an Chláir as councillors debated the controversial measure to prevent people walking on the golf course between the 4th and 14th fairway to gain access to the beach at Doughmore.
An alternative access route to the beach along with a car park will then be provided a short distance away.
