A West Clare student remains in a serious condition at a Dublin Hospital following an accident in Galway City last week in which he suffered head injuries.
20 year old Brendan McCarthy of Carrowmore, Cree was leaning against a parked vehicle on a night out at Eyre Square in the early hours of Thursday morning last, but fell to the ground when the vehicle was moved.

He was rushed to hospital in Galway and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he’s being treated for serious head injuries.
A spokesperson for the McCarthy family told Clare FM says Brendan’s condition remains serious but has stablilised over the weekend.
