A wheelchair-friendly lift and cross track bridge is set to open at Ennis Railway Station in January.
Following a one million euro investment by Iarnród Éireann, the bridge will bring imporved accessibility to the station allowing wheelchair users, or other people with mobility issues to cross the tracks with ease.
Currently trains can suffer delays of up to 15 minutes if simultaneous safe wheelchair access is required from platform 1 for multiple trains.

Ennis Fine Gael Councillor Johnny Flynn says this is a big step towards making the town a transit hub for the county.
