Wheels In Motion To Replace Damaged WWI Memorial In Ennis

The damaged World War I memorial in Ennis looks set to be back in action in the coming weeks.

One of the three sheets of glass which bear the names of hundreds of Clare men and women killed in the war was shattered in October last, causing public outcry at the time.

The wheels are also in motion to add a brand new panel to commemorate the Clare lives lost in the Second World War, thanks to funding from the Royal British Legion.
