The liquidator appointed to oversee the winding up of the Ennis based Whelan Group is set to meet with the employees today.
120 staff are now facing the dole queue after the High Court made an order to dissolve the five companies within the County Clare firm which has debts in excess of 70 million euro.
The companies have 2,000 creditors with the largest being Nama which has taken over some 50 million euro debts owed to Anglo Irish Bank.
Staff at the Whelan Group- most of whom are based Fountain Cross in Ennis will meet with liquidator Carl Dillion at the West County this morning about the winding up of the companies.
