Householders and businesses affected by the Whitegate boil notice are being connected up to the Mountshannon Water Supply.
Clare County Council are taking the action after cryptosporidium was discovered in the local supply last Thursday with those affected told to boil all tap water intended for consumption or food preparation.
The public health notice which also applies to those on the Group Water Schemes in Drumaan East, Williamston and the Mill is set to remain in place for the coming days, but an alternative source from Mountshannon is being connected up.
