A woman in her late sixties has died after falling into the water at Lough Derg.
The incident occured at around 12:30 in the early hours of yesterday morning, at the marina near Dromineer on the Tipperary side of the lake.

The woman was with a man who tried unsuccessfully to save her, while emergency services including the Lough Derg RNLI who rescued her from the water.
The woman was brought to Limerick Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
