Work is underway on a major redevelopment programme at Shannon Free Zone which could see the delivery of up to 250 construction jobs.
The first phase of the works, which aim to attract increased investment and jobs to the area, include the redevelopment of a 12-acre site where former maunfacturing buildings have been demolished.

Planning permission will be sought for an office block and advance technology manufacturing unit for part of the site while development for another project, a 6 million euro technology manufacturing facility at Shannon Free Zone East is already underway,
The first phase of the development is part of a five-year programme being carried out by Shannon Group and is valued at 21 million euro.
