A status yellow wind alert is in place today for Clare together with Cork, Kerry, Galway and Mayo.
Gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour are possible.

The alert came into force at 9am and will remain in place until 8pm this evening.
Meanwhile, a status yellow rainfall warning is in place for the south of the country – bringing up to 35 millimetres of rain.
