The Clare-based President of the Irish College of Psychiatrists says young people are being forced to travel great distances for mental health services.
Spanish Point Doctor John Hillery was among a delegation who have called on the Seanad to prioritise Child and Adult Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
It’s been revealed that more than a quarter of the country is lacking an out of hours service, with many people forced into the adult mental health system.
