A young woman has been treated in hospital for minor burns following a fire at an apartment in Ennis.
The incident happened at Parnell Street and was reported to the emergency services at around 5.40pm yesterday evening.

It’s understood that the woman in her 20’s attempted to extinguish a chip pan fire herself.
Three units of the fire brigade from Ennis attended the incident and first responders administered first aid while an ambulance was requested.
The woman sustained burns on one of her hands in the incident but her injuries are not believed to be serious.
She was able to walk to the ambulance with the assistance of paramedics and was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
Gardaí also attended the scene.
