On Friday 15th May 1990 Robbie McMahon took a seat in the old Clare FM studios and sang and lilted.as only he could.
The so-called “King of Spancillhill” was best known for his famous rendition of the song that immortalised his own native parish, as well as other legendary ballads like the Fleadh Down in Ennis.
Robbie passed away in December 2012 and had made many visits to the Clare FM studios over the years.
