For many elderly people in Clare and further afield, social clubs and active retirement groups are a very important part of life. From dancing to bridge, there is a group or club to facilitate every interest, and for many of these people, it is their only form of social interaction on a weekly basis.

Minister for Older People, Mary Butler, is calling for restrictions which affect these social outlets to be lifted in September.
