There are growing calls for family carers to be prioritised in terms of the covid-19 vaccine roll-out – including by the Clare Branch of Family Carers Ireland.
The National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) has yet to clarify which group family carers will fall under in terms of vaccination.

The branch met with Fianna Fail Deputy Cathal Crowe last week to highlight their concerns about the timeline for their vaccination.
They say they are essentially providing a frontline service to their loved ones.
