Historian and Irish Times Columnist Ronan McGreevy joined us on the line today on Morning Focus to respond to the Mayors decision to not attend the RIC Commemoration.
We spoke to Cllr Cathal Crowe yesterday on the programme about his decision to decline an invitation to attend an RIC commemoration in Dublin next week.

Cllr Crowe says it is “revisionism gone mad” and also says that the history of the RIC with Clare County Council during the War of Independence means attending in an official capacity would be to show the “upmost disrespect” to preceding Clare Councillors.
