While this will be a Christmas like no other and our spirits have been knocked after 9 months of Covid-19 restrictions, Love Shannon aren’t letting morale slip in the town. They are hosting a number of events over the festive period to bring cheer back in the community’s lives. We heard on the show last week about the COMPanionship project at St. Patrick’s Comprehensive School and Love Shannon’s involvement in the initiative. Love Shannon are also hosting a drive-in movie theatre on December 27th to raise funds for the community recreational facility and Community events in the coming year – with The Polar Express, Elf and Home Alone the movies on offer. A festive family fun cycle will also take place on New Year’s Day – in a socially distanced fashion and they also are hopeful that Santa and an elf will visit the estates and parks around Shannon escorted by the gardai!
