J.M. Synge’s ‘Playboy of the Western World’ has long been considered one of the top Irish plays, but recently it has been given a fresh twist. Playwrite Justin McCarthy spoke to Gavin about turning the iconic play into a musical ahead of its showing in the Lime Tree Theater in Limerick.
