Newmarket-on-Fergus’s lack of a GP service has caused consternation amongst the local community since last year when their local doctor retired. However the HSE has confirmed to Clare FM that recruitment for a new GP is in the advanced stages and it is hoped there may be one in place on a full-time basis by the end of June.
