At the end of the Morning Focus show on Friday the 11th of May, Gavin was joined by a guest who beat cancer to join the Shannon Dragons, a dragon boat racing team for survivors of breast cancer.
Brid O’Connell is back now to tell me about Shannon Paddlers, a kayak group for both men and women.

To mark the launch of the Paddlers, there’s an afternoon of family fun in association with O’Brien’s Bridge Community Group.
It’ll involve kayak racing, dragon boat trips and the chance to try a kayak.
