July of 2018 was supposed to be the happiest time Zoe Holohan’s life.
She married Killaloe-native Brian O’Callaghan Westropp, and the pair went to Greece for their dream honeymoon.

But that dream became a nightmare just four days after they arrived, when they became engulfed in wildfires that claimed 81 lives, among them Brian.
Zoe survived, but was burned, and was left with not just the physical scars of that awful experience, but also the mental pain of losing the love of her life not four days after their wedding.
She’s told her story now in a new book, ‘As the Smoke Clears’ and spoke to Gavin on Friday’s Morning Focus.
