Will Our Hospitals Survive The Covid Surge?

Over 2,000 people with Covid-19 are being treated in Irish hospitals for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

These include 145 at University Hospital Limerick, 15 of whom are in the ICU.

2,944 more people have tested positive for the virus across the country, including 54 in Clare, and thirteen more patients have died.

On Monday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Dr. Catherine Motherway, Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at University Hospital Limerick about the situation at the region’s main hospital.
