Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Suicide is a silent killer in towns and communities across Ireland. One of the hardest things for friends or families is that they’re often unaware of what their loved one is going through until it’s too late. Today is the day to spread the message of hope and also to teach people the signs to look and listen out for.
Ennis woman Irene Hehir has spoken of her own experiences before on the show and how seeking help provided her with the tools to start living life again after she almost succumbed to suicidal thoughts at the age of 41. She joined Gavin Grace on Thursday’s Morning Focus.
