Clare will take on Cork or Tipperary in the Munster hurling semi final next season while the county’s footballers must face the All Ireland champions Cork in the opening game of the 2011 football championship.
The draw means for the second successive season Ger O Loughlin’s side will be just 70 minutes away from a place in the Munster final while Waterford must play Limerick in the other semi final.
It is less good news for the county’s footballers however who must take on Cork in the opening game of their defence of Sam Maguire.
