Kilkishen's Sean Hehir has finished in 20th position in the marathon at the European Athletics Championships in Zurich.
The East Clreman finished in 2-hours 17-minutes, 59-seconds, just outside his personal best and fastest of the three Irish competitors.

Kevin Seaward came home in 28th, with Thomas Frazer 35th, while the team were seventh.
Separately, Shannon's Chris Bryan is currently in action the European Swimming Championships in the 25km Open Water event.
After 17.5km, over three and a half hours into the raec, the 24-year-old was in eighth position and less than ten seconds off bronze.
