Ballyea And Clonlara Do Battle This Weekend

Ballyea and Clonlara will do battle this weekend in the Clare Senior Hurling Final for the right to house the Canon Hamilton Trophy for the next 12 months.

The south east Clare men are back into the decider for the second year in a row as they bid to atone for defeat against Sixmilebridge last year.

Cathal "Tots" O'Connell says it's something they want to put right.

Meanwhile Ballyea will march behind the band for just the second time in the clubs history as they bid to win their first ever title.

They boast a number of intercounty stars, with chief among them being former hurler of the year Tony Kelly.

He says it's an occasion he's looking forward to.

Throw in on Sunday in Cusack Park is at 3.30.
