Ballyea Looking To Improve Upon Performance For SHC Semi-Finals

The manager of Sixmilebridge says they will be looking to improve upon their performance, following a win in the Clare Senior Hurling Championship quarter-finals.

Last years champions lead a decisive victory against Broadford in the first game of the quarter-finals, ending the match at 0-21 to 0-12.

While last year’s intermediate champions put up a strong fight in the first half, the bridge put the pressure on in the latter half of the game and sealed the result.

Tim Crowe says improvement should be the goal after every game.

The second match of the quarter-finals proved to be a tighter contest, as Ballyea were held to task by Kilmaley in the first half of the match at Cusack Park.

While Kilmaley were the first to score a goal, Ballyea quickly retaliated and took the lead into half time before scoring nine of the game’s last twelve points, leading 1-20 to 1-14 as the whistle blew.

Ballyea manager Kevin Sheehan says they’ve had to learn from past mistakes.
