Ballyeas Flanagan On Last Mark of Underage Success

Clare Under 21 Captain Paul Flanagan admits its a special night ahead for the group of players receiving their All Ireland medals.

Many of the squad graduate from the grade after a hugely successful spell of underage hurling.

In 2010, as minors they captured a first Munster title since 1989 with victory over Waterford, reclaiming the honours again in 2011.

Tonight at the Auburn Lodge Hotel in Ennis they are presented with their Munster and All Ireland Under 21 medals following back to back successes this Summer with wins over Tipperary and Antrim at provincial and All Ireland levels respectively, the ultimate decider against the Northern outfit coming between the two Senior All Ireland finals which 12 of the under 21 squad were also part of.
