The Clare born man who will represent Ireland in the canoe slalom event at the Tokyo Olympics says the support from family and friends is helping to make up for not having crowds for the games in Japan.
It was confirmed that the 2020 games will go ahead without spectators after a rise in Covid-19 cases in Japan in recent weeks.
Liam Jegou was the first member of Team Ireland to qualify for the games, and warmed up for the event by winning the World Cup last year.

Liam, who moved to France with his family at 7 years old, says the focus must be on the competition from now on.
