Banner Captain Cleary Confident Of Further Progression For Squad

Clare football captain Eoin Cleary is confident there is further progress to come from the squad after a positive start to their National League campaign.

Victory over Laois on Sunday means that Colm Collins brings his charges to Newbridge on Sunday looking for a win which would leave them in a strong position for a place in the promotion playoffs.

Clare will be without 2019 All Star nominee Jamie Malone after he picked up a hamstring injury in the opening minutes of the win over Laois, but the likes of Conal O’hAinefein and Cillian Rouine are expected to be pushing for starting places this time around.

Miltown clubman Cleary, who was named on the GAA.ie Team of the Week following his 0-10 tally, feels the squad are in a good place ahead of the clash with the Lilywhites

A clip of Cleary’s outstanding score from the sideline has also gone viral since the weekend, as he arrowed over a brilliant point with the outside of his left boot late in the second half.
