The Banner Ladies have been narrowly beaten in this afternoons Munster Club Football Final.
They lost by 3-7 to 2-8 against Cork outfit Mourneabbey in a closely contested affair.
The Clare women led by 2-4 to 1-5 at half time, having got off to a great start with two goals from Niamh O'Dea inside the opening 12 minutes.
Niamh Keane was sinbinned in the 41st minute, and this proved to be a crucial moment in the match.
The Cork champions took full advantage to register 2-1 while Keane was out of action.
The Banner continued the fight, and a Niamh O'Dea point left just two between them with minutes to play.
The frame of the goal denied the Clare side what could have been a winning third goal late on, but the Cork side held firm to take the title.
