Ireland’s Thomas Barr has been forced to withdraw from tonight’s 400-metres hurdles semi-final at the World Athletics Championships in London.
The Waterford man, who was fourth at the Olympics last summer, has picked up to a vomiting bug.
Barr says it’s ‘beyond disappointing’ to miss the semi as his whole year had been focused on the Worlds.
