Sepp Blatter's lawyer says that the FIFA president will not step-down ahead of schedule.
In a statement to FIFA staff, the head of world football says that he has done nothing illegal and plans to continue in office right up until the election of his successor in February.

Last Friday, Blatter was questioned by the Swiss Attorney General's office over allegations of criminal mismanagement.
However, the 79-year-old has told prosecutors that the 1.8 million euro payment that he made to UEFA President Michel Platini was "valid compensation…that had been properly accounted for."
Meanwhile, Platini has insisted that the payment was properly declared to Swiss authorities.
