Blow to Ballyea Ahead of Combo Clash

To hurling first and Ballyea are planning without the services of Gary Brennan in Saturday's Championship clash against Inagh/Kilnamona.

The Clare football captain picked up a dead leg while playing for Clondegad in the Club Championship last weekend, and is a major doubt for the game at Cusack Park.

Manager Robbie Hogan admits it's a big blow, but says they won't let it hold them back.

The Inagh/Kilnamona-Ballyea clash will draw a close to Saturday's action.

Before that, Saturday sees a double-header in Clarecastle – Sixmilebridge play Kilmaley in their relegation tussle from 2 o'clock while Tulla meet Tubber at 3:30.

There's also three Senior B Championship games – Wolfe Tones meet Whitegate at 2 o’clock in Broadford, while there’s a 4:00 throw-in Tulla when Scarriff meet St. Joseph’s.

The Broadford v O’Callaghans Mills game is in Cusack Park from 5:30, while the Senior B action concludes in Gurteen on Sunday at 1:30 when Éire Óg face Ruan.

There are three other Senior A games all take place on Sunday.

Clonlara play Clooney-Quin in Sixmilebridge while Newmarket meet Clarecastle at Cusack Park, both at 1 o'clock.

At 6:30 then, Crusheen meet Cratloe, also in the county grounds.
