Ennis boxer Martin Sweeney is an All-Ireland champion after beating Enniscorthy’s Dean Cox 3-2 at Dublin’s National Stadium to take the 65kg title.
It was mixed fortunes for the club as Martin K Sweeney came up short in the 59kg final against Fr. Flanagan’s Glen McStay.
John and Michael Sweeney will hope to add to their success today in their respective finals.

Enniscorthy’s Blaise Kennedy provides the opposition for John at 68kg and that will be followed by Michael against Galway’s Patrick Ward at 72kg.
