Martin Brassil’s City Island is set to make his chasing debut at the upcoming Leopardstown Christmas Festival.
The horse was an impressive winner of the Ballymore Novices Hurdle at this year’s Cheltenham Festival, and Newmarket-on-Fergus native Brassil is confident he’ll adapt well to fences.
The Kildare-based trainer says a bit of nice ground around Leopardstown will be perfect for his start over the larger obstacles
