Gary Brennan will captain Clare from midfield this Saturday for the All Ireland qualifer against Down.
The Clondegad man has been joined in midfield by Ger quinlan,one of three changes from the side which lost to Cork last month.
Mark Tubridy comes in a wing back which sees John Hayes move to number six and Alan Clohessey take the wing forward slot vacated by Graham kelly.
