Two sides will begin their league campaigns while Kilmaley will be hoping to book an All Ireland Final appearance on Sunday.

It’s set to be the busiest sporting weekend of 2013 so far as Clare sides at club and county level take to playing pitches across the country.

Mick O Dwyer will be hoping he can lead Clare to an opening win the National football league as his charges take on Waterford this Sunday in either Cusack Park or Miltown Malbay.

The Clare ladies football side will also be looking for a good start to their campaign in Div 2 under new manager John Bourke as they host Fermanagh in Meelick.

The Clare hurlers continue their Waterford Crystal campaign this weekend also as they host Jimmy Barry Murphy’s Cork side in the last four of the traditional curtain raiser on Friday at 7-45 in Sixmilebridge.

In camogie Kilmaley are looking to book an All Ireland final appearance on Sunday in Nowlan Park as they take on Kilkenny and Leinster champions Rower Inistioge at 2pm.

And the Clare Oscar Traynor cup will be seeking to cause a big shock as they travel to Douglas Hall  for their last 16 clash  on Sunday.
