Colum Flynn, known for his involvement with boxing in Ennis and Clare, is to be awarded with a civic reception in his honour.
The decision was made by Clare Councillors at their meeting last night, and rewards Flynn for his decades in boxing and also work with the Clare hurling team.

A reception is also to be held for the Clare members of the Irish Lifesaving team, following their medal winning exploits at last year’s World Championships.
