It shows two changes to the side that drew with the Deise last weekend. Shane Brennan takes over from Podge Collins who is with the hurlers this weekend, and Barry Hartnett replaces Jamie Malone. In an unexpected boost to the footballers, Sean Collins has been made available for selection, and takes his place at wing forward.

The team in full is Joe Hayes in goal, full back line of Dean Ryan, Kevin Hartnett and Martin McMahon. Half back line is Shane Hickey, Gordon Kelly and Ciaran Russell. Gary Brennan is partnered at midfield by Shane McGrath. The half forward line is Sean Collins Enda Coughlan and Barry Hartnett, with an inside forward line of David Tubridy, Shane Brennan and Martin O'Leary.

Clare captain Gary Brennan says that the squad feel that they let themselves down against Waterford in Cusack Park last weekend.

Clare twice let leads slip in the second half in last weekends drawn game against the Deise, with Paul Whyte's injury time score forcing a replay.

Clondegad man Brennan says the squad now realise how close they were to exiting this years championship, and they will look to atone for that in Saturdays replay.
