Clare book Waterford Crystal Semi final clash with Cork

Clare got 2015 off to the perfect start with a 0-16 to 0-15 win over Tipperary in the Waterford Crystal Cup Quarter Final.

The Banner led after a well contested opening half, going in 0-8 to 0-7 ahead.

In that opening half, there was never more than two points between the sides.

Clare opened up a three point gap with 46 minutes on the clock, and soon that became four, as they led by 0-15 to 0-11 with just eight minutes to go.

This seemed to spark the defending champions into life, and they struck four unanswered points to level the game as injury time loomed.

Both sides had chances to win the game throughout the 4 minutes of injury time that were played, but it was Colin Ryan who eventually found the winner, and booked Clare's spot in the semi final.

They now face Cork next weekend, with the details to be finalised.
