Clare breeze past Antrim to set up All Ireland U21 Hurling Final clash with Wexford

Clare are into a third All Ireland U21 Final in a row after beating Antrim by 4-28 to 1-10.

They raced out of the blocks and a brace of points for David Reidy, two free from Bobby Duggan and a Colm Galvin opener saw them lead by 0-5 to 0- after 10 minutes.

Aaron Cunningham pounced for a goal and Reidy's third point meant Clare led midway through the half by 1-6 to 0-0.

Shane O'Donnell then pointed before Antrim struck for a goal through Sean McAffee.

The response from the defending champions was clinical, with points from Eoin Enright and Duggan coming before Aaron Cunningham grabbed his second goal.

Clare finished the opening half the strongest, and led by 2-16 to 1-1 at the break, with eight players getting on the scoresheet.

The trend continued in the second half, with Cunningham grabbing his hat trick, and captain Tony Kelly also raising a green flag.

Antrim to their credit fought to the end, but Clare were far too superior, and ran out winners by 4-28 to 1-10.

They now take on Wexford on September 13th, who just got the better of Galway on a 1-21 to 1-19 scoreline
