Clare Clubs To Be Given Opportunity To Visit Caherlohan Tomorrow Afternoon

Clubs across Clare are to be given the opportunity to visit the Caherlohan Centre of Excellence tomorrow afternoon before they submit their views to the Strategic Review Committee.

It follows a number of delegates raising the issue with the Centre at this month’s county board meeting, with controversy continuing to surround the cost of the yet-to-be-completed facility.

Clare GAA’s Strategic Review Committee, who will submit their findings in September, are assessing Caherlohan as part of their overall review, with the County Board insisting money will continue to be spent on the facility while the review is taking place to maintain pitches at the venue.

Chair Jack Chaplin insists getting Caherlohan to an acceptable standard remains a key priority of his and the Board’s in the coming months.

The Caherlohan facility will be open tomorrow between 10am and 2pm tomorrow for clubs who wish to visit it.
