Clare have beaten Ucc in the opening game of this year’s Mc Grath cup in Cooraclare today by 1-13 to 13 points.
The Banner men trailed by 1-6 to 11 points at half time but a strong second half performance secured their passage to a home meeting with C. I.T next Sunday in Cooraclare.
All-Ireland champions Cork began their season on a winning note with a 19 points to five victory over Waterford IT in the McGrath Cup.
