Clare have recorded their first Munster championship win since 2008 by overcomeing Waterford today by 2-20 to 1-15.
Davy Fitzgerald’s side got a good start and led by four points to no score before Jake Dillion’s goal brought Waterford to life and they led by 1-9 to 0-08 at the break.

But Clare,led by Brendan bugler at centre back came right back into the game in the second half and when Shane O Donnell reacted quickest to Tony Kelly’s blocked 20 metre free Clare took the lead with Conor Mc Grath’s goal 8 minutes from time sealing the win.
Cork will now provide the opposition for Clare in the Munster semi on June 23rd.
Earlier the Clare intermediates defeated Waterford by 2-21 to 0-16.
