Clare early season fixtures revealed

Davy Fitzgerald will begin his reign as Clare manager with a home tie against Waterford I.T in next January’s Waterford crystal competition following the draw by the Munster council.

The Clare senior footballers will also take on College opposition when they play UL in the Mc Grath cup on the 8th of January.

The oppostion for the county minor and u21 sides was also revealed last night
The tradiatioanl curtain raiser to the the new Gaa season wil see Clare take on WIT in this years Waterford crystal competiton on the 29th of January.

The winner of that tie will go into the last eight where a meeting with Limerick awaits.

The county footballers meanwhile are also set to play third level opposition as they begin their Mc Grath cup campaign against UL on the 8th of January

Elsewhere and the Clare minors will begin the defense of their Munster title against Waterford who they defaeted in the Munster final last year on the 2nd of May with the winner playing another round one team.

Waterford provide the oppositon for the minor footballers as well as the county u21 hurlers in a Munster semi final while the U21 footballers will play Limerick in a q-final.

The venue’s for  next summer’s Munster senior championship games have also been confirmed.

Davy Fitzgerald will take on his previous charges  Waterford in Thurles while Clare will have home advantage if they play Waterford in the senior fotball championship  but will travel to Limerick if they must face the Treaty county men.
