Following the structures review committee report which was adopted in January the 2012 season will see a change to both the senior football and hurling championship formats
The quest for Jack Daly sees 16 sides in the hat for an opening knock-out round while the those seeking to get their hands on Canon Hamilton will have to negotiate a new "a" and "b" championship format
There is also changes to the structure of the intermediate hurling championship while the intermediate football and Junior competitions remain the same.
